Bought all this for $25 from a closing CD store. Went for a variety of genres, and some familiar names/labels. One is a promo disc.

I haven't bought a CD since the iTunes store opened I think. Is that Republica on the bottom left?

I used to have Music at Work and my buddy had that Treble Charger CD.

I recognized "Watch Out!" without even embiggening the pic.
Nice collection, it's similar to my old one.

It's a great album. And the collection slowly continues to expand. In fact, I may head down next week to grab some more tunes.

I used to have around 300. I eventually had to give them away to my buddy, they took up too much room and were too heavy to pack after repeated moves.

Yeah, I have to move in about two months, and I'm not looking forward to carrying the boxes with these inside.

I buy CDs, but not many. An occasional disc directly from the band website, at a show, or from Amazon when they have but sales.
My wife has converted to iTunes, which works well when the kids really, really want to hear the same song on repeat but aren't interested in the whole album.

Haha, mine doesn't play cassettes anymore. Never did in fact, Fiat offered two or three stereos for the Tipo, the top model being a Pioneer CD player, the middle one had cassettes, and the cheapest one, only the radio.

cassettes?
can you still buy them?
haven't seen any for years.

Probably can. I still listen to the occasional one.

My recording console uses cassettes. I bought a bunch of them when I heard they were going out of production.

I do. I buy them and rip them directly to iTunes and put it directly into my head unit until I buy the next one.
Head unit iPod interface sucks, and I want to listen to it NOW.
I also still have a... Oh who the hell am I kidding, our house is filled with CD players.

Me. I think they are awesome. You get physical copy, great sound quality, cool artwork and lyrics. I even want to buy a Discman to listen to them on the go.
